Description
This famous sativa-dominant hybrid, which has an 80:20 sativa/indica ratio, combines a powerful head high with a soothing body high that last for at least two hours. Acapulco Gold originated in Acapulco, Mexico, but no one seems to remember who first grew it or what parent strains were used. Acapulco Gold is pretty hard to find because it’s difficult to grow indoors, but it’s popular throughout the United States, especially in warmer climes. It’s best used to treat anxiety, depression, and chronic pain, but it’s also good for insomnia and headaches, as well as some mental disorders. This strain can be especially powerful, with THC levels as high as 24-26%. It has a distinct earthy flavour and aroma, with a taste of chestnut and tealeaves. As with most strains, the most likely adverse effects are dry eyes and dry mouth. Paranoia and dizziness are also possible but less common. Acapulco Gold is most popular in the Western United States, the Upper Midwest, and the desert Southwest. It often costs more than other strains because of its potency and the beautiful gold-tinged appearance of its bud.

Bailey Cruz –
Really uplifts. Perfect for the post work slump. Probably good for exercise.

This s one of those strains that hits like sunshine for the soul. I’ve tried my fair share of sativas, but this one? It’s in a league of its own. I smoked it first thing in the morning on a day I felt heavy, groggy, and honestly not in the mood to deal with life. Within minutes, that changed.
Kyle Neuman –
Puts you in a super good mood, and for me , makes me see stuff I don’t normally see , but that just makes me laugh and think about how potent this strain is.
Bret Tanner –
The effects are what I gravitate to in a strain. Relaxed, overly giggly and a massive case of the munchies.
Sora Aaron –
I only had “real” Acapulco Gold once and it was around 1972. I had purchased an ounce and is was maybe 25 percent seeds. The remaining flower was pure sativa, some of the best sativa I’ve had in my 73 years. The most striking thing about it was the aroma it had and it’s color, pure pale Gold. I have never since then found anything quite equal.
